An intimate, original musical-theatre work about resentment,
identity and the struggle to let go.
We All Carry Shadows
It's the human condition
The question is —
what do we do with them?
Paper Gun — a show about shadow work
Paper Gun was built in senior communities — years of conversations and collected wisdom. Some of the people I met carry resentment, some carry none. The difference is the heart of the show. It opens with a live recording: my microphone caught an elderly gentleman, Mr. Hay. and what he says is the show's greatest lesson.
It’s about survival over grievance — an original operetta in which one man plays both sides of himself.
An honest word: Paper Gun goes deeper than most entertainment — framed, held, and closed with care — see the therapeutic link below.
The protocol the show is built on →
Paper Gun is catharsis, and a method for reclaiming your life from resentment.
I want to give you an idea of the range I offer. The introduction videos below show the kind of show I’ve performed until now (full show demos are on Recent Shows). I’m doing now predominantly my own show: the three-act operetta, Paper Gun.

The Song Is The Play
Where iconic songs become living theatre, never a recital — always an interpretation. Classic song performed against thematic backgrounds & live piano looping. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Elton John, Shakespeare, Oasis & Prince — each acted out as a scene, and orchestrated with live looping piano. Plus a few stories from the road.

Host Introduction
"Tonight is something rare: an original operetta, written and performed by one man at a piano. It's called Paper Gun, and it's about the journey every one of us makes — from the resentments we carry to something we can finally call our own. It's honest, and it's handled with care from the first note to the last. He's performed for two decades across four countries, and he wrote every word you're about to hear. Please welcome the author and the voice of Paper Gun… Paul Tosh."
